About & Kaupapa

We keep New Zealand
moving.

FireHorse exists to close the gap between how fast the country is electrifying and how slowly the grid can keep up — with renewable power that arrives where and when it's needed.

Our story

Charging shouldn't stall on a five-year grid wait

Fixed depot charging means transformer waits of months to years and DC ports costing from ~NZ$18,000 to over NZ$350,000 each. Meanwhile, fleets need to run tomorrow.

We built FireHorse to turn charging into a managed, leased service — modular charging systems delivered to your premises and run by our technicians, on schedule and coordinated by software. No heavy capital. No civil works. No stranded vehicles.

What we stand for

The principles behind every deployment.

01

Power that shows up

Contracted availability and battery-buffered resilience mean the charge arrives when you need it — reliability is the product.

02

Genuinely renewable

100% of delivered energy is sourced from on-site solar PV or certified renewable retail — traceable data, not green gloss.

03

Built for Aotearoa

From city depots to remote worksites, our units are made for New Zealand's geography, distances and fleets.

The people

Operators, engineers and problem-solvers

Behind every unit is a team coordinating booking, routing and live telemetry — so your fleet stays moving and you stay in control.

We work alongside fixed networks as your safety-valve: when depot power hits its limit or the grid runs out of road, FireHorse fills the gap.
